Slackin’, slackin’, slackin’… here is the latest on the mixtape campaign by DC’s finest:

Lots of familiar names for this week’s update, and if you check the mixes you are going to hear a wide range of styles, some classics and some unreleased treats! And any drum’n’bass is going to be better than the stuff my co-worker is listening to right now. It sounds like cheap 80s porn soundtrack music.

A few new mixes for the DC drum’n’bass fan base, from some of DC’s finest. And a big congrats to Jackson/ODJ and all the crew at Dirtbox Radio on their Eight Year Anniversary!
NOTE: The DJ Darkness mix was added a little bit later today, got an email about the mix this afternoon and wanted to make sure I got it in for this week’s post

Check, check, check it out:
Also, any local drum’n’bass (and by extension, dubstep and/or future garage) DJs that are looking for some exposure, Expansion Broadcast is looking for some fresh, top quality mixes to include in their podcast. Get the details:

I lost track of Thursday, so this piece is popping up a little late but I post dated it to Thursday. So here is what the locals have mixed together & posted in the past week:

A little short on time tonight, not going to list out all the links right now for the the Dirtbox archives, but check these:

Slow week this week, due in part to the snow storms/blizzards that decimated the DC area. I would of put a mix together, but I have been seperated from my DJ gear the past few days. But here, check this out:

A couple mixes to check out, chances are you’ll be snowed in and need a distraction to fend cabin fever from setting in. Or a soundtrack to dust your book & record shelves…

A good selection of mixes up this week:
Also, if you are checking the EXBC Podcasts through iTunes, be sure to give them a rating and/or a review!
Steve / DJ Deftil, one of the regular forum posters on Buzzlife and a reader of DCDNB’s blog has set up his own blog, focused on linking drum’n’bass fans to the latest mixes and tunes from the big guys. Be sure to check it out!

A slow week, only one mix to share today:
Be sure to catch Deinfamous tomorrow night at the 3D Productions event, and then Delta Project together on Saturday night at Konkrete Jungle DC.
This week was a bit hectic. Work has been really busy due to some installation projects being finished this week before classes start next Monday. Plus my birthday was yesterday, so I went out with friends right after work and celebrated hard. And then last week’s interviewees never got back to me with the answers to the Q&A I sent them (giving them a pass seeing as they had a major event on Friday, and they have another this Friday).
So things are a little off course today, but have no worries, we are getting content together. Already have two more Five For Friday interviewees lined up, although one I might hold off on until their major project is completed in about a month’s time. And that all said, here is what’s up over the next few days:
Hope to see & meet some of the blog readers this Saturday at my b-day event for Konkrete Jungle DC!
